Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for the Hong Kong Fellowship Scheme, candidates must:

2. Apply as a New PhD Student: Seek admission as a new full-time PhD student at one of the eight partner universities in Hong Kong. The fellowship is open to students from any country, with no restrictions on prior work experience or ethnic background.
3. Hold a Recognized Degree: Have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university that meets the entry requirements for a PhD program at a Hong Kong university.
4. Meet University Requirements: Fulfill the specific admission requirements of the university and PhD program to which you are applying.

Application Process:

Applying for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme involves several key steps:

1. Initial Application:
   • Visit the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme Electronic System (HKPFSES) to complete the Initial Application. This step will provide you with an HKPFS Reference Number.
   • The Initial Application must be submitted by December 1, 2024, at 12:00:00 Hong Kong Time.
2. University Applications:
   • After obtaining the HKPFS Reference Number, submit applications for PhD admission to your chosen universities. You may select up to two programs or departments at one or two universities.
