Program Details
The African Union Public Health Scholarship is designed to enhance the capacity of the public health workforce across African Union member states. Each year, 10 scholarships are awarded to support the development of future leaders in public health.

- Courses Available: Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Field Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases Epidemiology, Public Health Informatics, Biostatistics, and Implementation Science

- Target Candidates: Preference is given to those currently working with National Public Health Institutes (NPHIs) in their home countries
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the African Union Public Health Scholarship Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Background: A four-year honours degree or an equivalent health-related degree (e.g., MBBCh)
- Relevant Experience: Professional experience in relevant fields is advantageous
- Language Proficiency: Evidence of English proficiency (either through a formal English competency certificate or previous undergraduate education in English for non-English speaking countries)
- Certification: Certified copies of South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) certificates or proof of application to SAQA. Apply for SAQA.
