How to Apply for an Australia Awards Scholarship

1. Check Eligibility and Dates for for an Australia Awards Scholarship:
   Confirm the opening and closing dates for your country, and select your country of citizenship or residency from the list of participating countries for specific details on eligibility, priority areas, and application procedures. Visit the participating countries page to view these dates.
2. Read the Policy Handbook:
   If you plan to apply, you must read the Australia Awards Scholarships Policy Handbook. This document provides essential information, including eligibility requirements, selection processes, entitlements, and responsibilities. Please note that the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade may update the handbook at any time without prior notice.
3. Application Method:
   Some countries encourage and allow online applications, while others require hard-copy submissions. Refer to your participating country profile for specific instructions.

Applying Online:

• Access the Application Portal:
  Visit your participating country profile for the link to the application portal. Note that Indonesia and the Philippines do not use the Online Australia Scholarships Information System (OASIS). Application links for these countries can be found in their respective country profiles.
• Registration Process:
  When you register online, you’ll be asked to answer questions to determine your eligibility. Upon successful registration, you will receive a unique registration number, username, and password.
• Drafting and Submitting Your Application:
  You don’t need to submit your application immediately. You can save a draft and continue to update it, along with any supporting documents, until the closing date specified in your country’s profile. Once submitted, your application cannot be modified. We strongly recommend submitting your application well before the deadline, as OASIS may experience high traffic close to the closing date, potentially causing delays.
