Scholarship Details
The studentship focuses on engineering heterogeneous glycosystems with patchy attributes to target varied bacterial populations. The research involves an interdisciplinary approach, combining polymer and glycochemistry, and characterizing the systems using SEM, AFM, and TEM in Swansea University’s laboratories. The effectiveness of these materials will be tested against different bacterial strains in the Institute of Life Sciences at Swansea University. Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Swansea University EPSRC Scholarship, applicants must:
- Academic Qualifications:
- Hold an undergraduate degree with at least a 2.1 classification (or the equivalent for non-UK degrees as defined by Swansea University) in chemistry or a related subject.
- OR possess a master’s degree with a minimum overall grade of ‘Merit’ in chemistry or a related subject (or the equivalent for non-UK degrees as defined by Swansea University).
- English Language Proficiency:
