Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant Profile:
- Nationality: Open to both Singaporeans and other nationals.
- Educational Background:
- Non-Singaporeans must have completed or be completing a degree at a Singapore autonomous university.
- Applicants must have at least a 2nd Upper Class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Those in their final undergraduate semester can apply but must meet degree requirements before the fellowship is awarded.
- Admission: Must meet criteria for and gain admission to a PhD programme at an autonomous university.
- Interest: Demonstrated strong interest in pursuing a research career in industry R&D labs, technology enterprises, spin-off companies, and/or academia.
- Mid-Term ACIS Applicants:
- Eligibility: Open to both Singaporeans and non-Singaporeans.
- Education: Must have completed a degree at a Singapore autonomous university.
- Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a Singapore autonomous university and have completed at least one semester.
- Academic Standing: On track to attain excellent academic results.
- Research Potential: Demonstrated good research potential and/or achievements.
- References: Current university supervisor must be one of the two academic referees.
Application Requirements

- Additional Criteria: May be imposed by A*STAR based on prevailing scholarship policies.
Responsibilities of Fellows
- Research: Produce high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Team Management: Manage a research team effectively.
