Internship Office Background: The Food and Agricultural Commodity Systems (FACS) practice within UNDP’s Nature, Climate, and Energy team aims to support UNDP Country Offices in addressing FACS-related challenges. The practice aligns with UNDP’s strategy to transform FACS, considering their crucial role in economies, food security, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing meetings, including scheduling, agenda drafting, minute-taking, and report drafting.
- Maintain all operations documents in a shared repository.
- Support basic procurement processes.
- Assist in team recruitment processes.
- Support the implementation of the team’s HR work plan.
- Prepare and review presentations, briefing notes, reports, and other materials.
- Consolidate documents for procurement and HR-related processes.
- Assist in organizing virtual and face-to-face events and workshops.
- Facilitate travel arrangements.
- Support internal communication needs and ensure the flow of information among project teams and partners.
- Translate, proofread, and edit documents.
- Perform other relevant tasks related to the Ops and Management Team.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program or enrolled in a graduate school program related to Administration, Finance, environmental management, sustainable development, economics, global development, social or political sciences, international relations, or any other relevant field.
- Recent graduates with relevant degrees are also eligible.
- Mastery of MS Office package and Zoom settings.
- Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
- Experience in operational and program management support, HR support, and basic procurement processes is desirable.
- Language skills: Fluent in English and Spanish; knowledge of French is an advantage.
Internship Conditions:
- Stipend may be provided according to UNDP Internship Policies if not financially supported by any institution or program.
- UNDP accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents or illnesses incurred during the internship.
- Interns are responsible for obtaining necessary visas, arranging travel, and accommodation.
- Interns cannot apply for or be appointed to any post in UNDP during the internship period.
- Proof of enrollment in a Health Insurance Plan valid for the location and duration of the internship is required.
- Interns are not staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity.
- Full-time work is expected, with flexibility allowed for education programs.
- Internships range from a minimum of 6 weeks to a maximum of 6 months.
