Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of an audit team in the Internal Audit Division (IAD) of the Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) in New York.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and other assigned tasks under the direct supervision of an Auditor.
- Prepare working papers for review by the auditor in charge.
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of data, including identifying trends or patterns and providing draft insights through graphs, charts, tables, and reports.
- Assist in other ad-hoc activities, including reviews of working papers, as instructed.

Qualifications/special skills:
- Must be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent), or enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent), or have graduated with a university degree and must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
- Computer literate in standard software applications, preferably including Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to its Charter.
- Ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
- Registered for or have completed studies in business administration, finance, accounting, statistics, data science, or a related field.
- Experience in analysis of complete sets of data to identify anomalies and trends is desirable. Audit experience is also desirable.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

2. Internship – Human Rights – Office of the Director, Civil Society Team

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Located in the Office of the Director, Human Rights Council and Treaty Mechanisms Division (CTMD), specifically within its Civil Society Team.
- Support civil society’s engagement with human rights mechanisms.
- Assist in facilitating NGO-related meetings within the Human Rights Council and Universal Periodic Review sessions.
- Review NGO written statements submitted to the Human Rights Council, compile information on engagement with human rights mechanisms, and maintain relevant databases and webpages.
- Draft correspondence, conduct research, and disseminate information pertaining to the Division.
- Contribute to outreach and human rights mainstreaming initiatives.
- Attend to queries/requests from the Director, Branch Chiefs, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate internal exchange of information and coordination on relevant human rights mechanisms within the Office and the United Nations.

3.UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) SDGs and Impact Programme Support Internship

Duties and Responsibilities: As an intern with the SDGs & Impact workstream at UNEP FI, you will support the implementation of the organization’s work programme related to sustainable development goals (SDGs) and impact management. Your duties may include:
- Assisting in the development of impact management tools, mappings, and guidance materials.
- Supporting the refinement of interoperability packages related to UNEP FI’s holistic impact methodology.
- Contributing to various workstreams of the Impact Management Platform.
- Conducting research on impact definitions, indicators, and metrics.
- Researching financial sector, corporate, and sovereign impact management norms, practices, policies, and regulations.
- Coordinating communications with UNEP FI teams, communities of practice, and partners.
- Producing and disseminating communication materials.
- Maintaining databases, directories, web pages, and social media presence.
- Assisting in preparations for meetings and events.
- Supporting other relevant tasks as needed.
Qualifications/special skills:
- Candidates must meet one of the following criteria: enrolled in a graduate school programme, enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program, or have graduated within the past year.
- Relevant experience and studies in finance, economics, sustainable development, and/or international relations/affairs.
- Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of French, Spanish, and Arabic is desirable.
