- Single Program Application: Applicants are permitted to apply for only one program per calendar year within the TWAS and OWSD portfolio. Furthermore, candidates may not visit another institution in the same year under the TWAS Visiting Professor programs, except in specific circumstances detailed below.
- TWAS Visiting Professor Programs Exception: An exception to the single-program application rule is granted to heads of institutions who invite external scholars to share their expertise under the TWAS Visiting Professor programs. In such cases, the head of the institution may still apply for another program.
