Scholarships & Awards Requiring Application
To be considered for the scholarships listed in this section, applicants must complete and submit an application for the UNSW Scholarships for International Students Commencing Term 3, 2024 (PUCA1029) by the specified deadline.
By applying for PUCA1029, you will automatically be considered for any scholarship in this list for which you meet the eligibility criteria.

Scholarships & Awards Without Application Requirement
International students commencing in Term 3, 2024, are automatically considered for the scholarships and awards listed in this section. Eligible students who have received an offer of admission to UNSW for Term 3, 2024, will be automatically considered for these scholarships and awards.

UNSW International Student Award
The UNSW International Student Award aims to support students from low-income and developing countries in accessing education at a prestigious Australian university. This award provides a 15% contribution towards tuition fees for eligible new students commencing their studies in 2023 and 2024 only.
Value: The award provides a 15% contribution directly towards tuition fees for the duration of the program.
Application Process: To apply for the UNSW International Student Award, applicants must submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words outlining their reasons for studying the proposed program at UNSW.
- New applicants: Upload your personal statement through Apply Online as part of your application process.
- Existing offer holders: Upload your personal statement via Apply Online or myUNSW if you are a UNSW Foundation or UAC applicant.
Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the International Student Award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- International Student: Applicants must be international students.
- Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of eligible countries.
- Program Commencement: Applicants must be commencing full-time study as new students on campus in a UNSW Diploma, undergraduate, or postgraduate coursework program. Note that certain programs offered by AGSM, UNSW Online, UNSW Canberra, UNSW Foundation Programs, Transition Program Online, or those taught in the Hexamester calendar, are excluded.
- Offer of Admission: Applicants must have applied and received an offer of admission into a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate degree program.
- Current Student Status: Applicants must not be current students of UNSW, except for those who have completed an undergraduate program at UNSW and are commencing a postgraduate program.
Note: The award is open to students commencing their studies at UNSW in 2023 and 2024 only.

International Scientia Coursework Scholarship
Value: Applicants for the International Scientia Coursework Scholarship (PUCA1025) have the opportunity to receive one of two offers:
- Offer 1: Full tuition fee scholarship paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of the program.
- Offer 2: $20,000 per annum paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of the program.
Recipients of the scholarship may also benefit from:
- Invitation to UNSW networking events.
- Guaranteed entry to the UNSW Professional Development Program.
Application Process: To apply for the scholarship, applicants must submit a UNSW Scholarships for International Students Commencing Term 3, 2024 (PUCA1029) by 11:59 PM AEST on Wednesday, 31 July 2024.
Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
- Be an International Student.
- Commence full-time study on campus in a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program (excluding UNSW Online and UNSW Canberra).
- Have received an offer of admission into an eligible program for Term 3, 2024 by Wednesday, 31 July 2024.
Note: Offers of admission must be one of the following:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional); or
- Undergraduate or postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) – students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 3, 2024.
Selection Criteria: Each applicant will be evaluated based on their ability to demonstrate:

Lily and Dr Ben K.C. Chng Scholarship
Purpose: The Lily and Dr Ben K.C. Chng Scholarship aims to provide support and encouragement to students from Singapore undertaking full-time undergraduate study at UNSW Arts, Design, and Architecture’s School of Built Environment.
Value: Recipients of the Lily and Dr Ben K.C. Chng Scholarship will receive:
- $5,000 per annum payable for the normal minimum duration of the degree towards tuition fees.
Application Process: To apply for the scholarship, applicants must submit a UNSW Scholarships for International Students Commencing Term 3, 2024 (PUCA1029) by 11:59 PM AEST on Wednesday, 31 July 2024.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the Lily and Dr Ben K.C. Chng Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an International Student and hold Singapore citizenship.
- Commence a UNSW undergraduate coursework degree program offered through the Faculty of Arts, Design, and Architecture’s School of Built Environment.
- Hold a diploma or equivalent course of at least 2 years credit from one of the following institutions: Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic.
- Have received an offer of admission into an eligible program for Term 3, 2024 by Wednesday, 31 July 2024.
Note: Offers of admission must be one of the following:
- Undergraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
- Undergraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) – students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 3, 2024.
Selection Criteria: Each applicant will be evaluated based on their ability to demonstrate:

UNSW Business School International Scholarship
Value: The UNSW Business School International Scholarship provides recipients with $5,000 per annum paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of the program.
Application Process: To apply for the scholarship, applicants must submit a UNSW Scholarships Application for International Students Commencing Term 3, 2024 by 11:59 PM AEST on Wednesday, 31 July 2024.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the UNSW Business School International Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an International Student (Not a permanent resident of Australia/Australian Citizen).
- Enroll in any UNSW undergraduate (single/dual) or postgraduate (Master) coursework degree program offered by UNSW Business School, excluding those offered by AGSM.
- Receive an offer of admission by Wednesday, 31 July 2024, and commence an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program offered by UNSW Business School in Term 3, 2024.
- For undergraduate applicants, have completed an assessable Senior Secondary School qualification immediately prior to commencing study at UNSW and not have undertaken prior tertiary study.
- Not be in receipt of the UNSW Business School International Pathways Award.
Note: Offers of admission must be one of the following:
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) – students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program before commencing in Term 3, 2024.

UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture GEMS Education International Award
Value: The UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture GEMS Education International Award provides recipients with $10,000 payable for one year only towards tuition fees.
Application Process: To apply for the award, applicants must submit a UNSW Scholarships Application for International Students Commencing Term 3, 2024 by 11:59 PM AEST on Wednesday, 31 July 2024.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture GEMS Education International Award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an International Student.
- Provide evidence of graduation from a GEMS Education School.
- Commence full-time study in an undergraduate degree coursework program offered by the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture at UNSW.
- Receive an offer of admission by Wednesday, 31 July 2024, and commence the eligible program for Term 3, 2024.
- Offers of admission must be one of the following:
- Undergraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
- Undergraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) – students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program before commencing in Term 3, 2024.

UNSW College Award
UNSW College Award (PUCA1027)
Value: The UNSW College Award provides recipients with $10,000 for one year. Payment will be made directly towards tuition fees in the second term of the first year of study.
Application Process: No application is required for this Award. Students completing a UNSW College Foundation Studies program will automatically be considered.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the UNSW College Award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an international student.
- Must be completing a UNSW College Foundation Studies program (in Sydney or off-shore).
- Commence full-time study on campus in a UNSW undergraduate coursework degree program (excluding UNSW Canberra).
- Have received an offer of admission into an eligible program for Term 3, 2024.
- Offers of admission must be one of the following:
- Undergraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
- Offers of admission must be one of the following:
- Eligible pathway programs include UNSW College Foundation Program.
Selection Criteria: Each candidate will be assessed based on their ability to demonstrate:
